    MASTEC CONTINUES TO INVEST IN THE FUTURE

    Mastec in Ulricehamn has invested in a 5-axic milling machine for increased capacity and automation. The latest addition is a 2 DMU 60 connected with 3R automation, similar to the already excising cell. This investment is part of our long term strategy to increase our Standard/Automation in milling to meet our customer demands with shorter lead time, better quality and higher efficiency.

    MPM organizational announcement

    I am very pleased to inform you that Johnson Zhao has accepted the position as Managing Director of Mastec Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. (MPM). Johnson Zhao will report directly to me from 1/6/2018. Anders Henningsson will continue to support MPM as a Director of the board.

History

1985 Mastec AB is founded by the Carlsson family from Skillingaryd, Sweden. The company initially owned Swedform AB, which grew organically from SEK 90 million to SEK 2,500 million up until 2000.

1998 Swedform Metall was sold to the US firm, Chatham Inc. (which later merged with Flextronics Inc.).

1999 A wholly-owned subsidiary was set up in China in response to growing globalization demands. The company enjoyed stable growth and had a turnover of about SEK 1 billion at the end of 2000.

2001 Acquisition of the two plastics companies, Plastema and Mouldex Plast.

2002 Acquisition of Mastec Precision AB – the first machining company (formerly Remako).

2003 Acquisition of the surface treatment company CCTech AB. LPI Bolagen was acquired later the same year and merged to form one company, Mastec LPI AB.

2004 Two acquisitions are carried out; Mastec Brodalen AB and Mastec Motala AB.

2006 Inauguration of the company’s factory in China – Mastec Precision Machinery (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. The company has a business licence for trading and production.

Acquisition of CJ Components AB. Name changed to Mastec Components AB.

The Mastec Group makes its largest acquisition to date with the purchase of Tetra Pak Stålvall AB in Partille. The company changes its name to Mastec Stålvall AB.

2008 Mastec Precision AB and Mastec Components AB are merged to form one company and adopted the name Mastec Components AB.

2008 Mouldex Plast AB is sold to the local MD in June 2008.

2010 Acquisition of parts of the bankrupt company Herobi AB. The company’s operations are incorporated into Mastec Plastema AB, which also retains most of the larger customers.

2012 This year was really a milestone for Mastec. We accuried the patents for an outstanding machine that produces packing inserts, named FLEXICOMB's. We also rea-launcehed our own product, the PREMERE.

2013 Mastec launches a logotype.

2014 Henrik Carlsson becomes CEO of Mastec group from November 1st.

2015 Mastec acquires Frenzak in Poland on July 1st. The name of the company is Mastec Frenzak Sp. z o. o.
